Over a span of 48 hours, involving 350+ experts, scholars, industry leaders, government officials, and students, this event featured master lectures, thematic workshops, roadshows, immersive exhibitions, and more. Together, they successfully launched the Design Universe brand, addressed real-life challenges with imaginative and viable solutions, and marked the beginning of the renovation of the Lester Building.

Under the theme "City of Design: A New Economy", more than a hundred industry leaders came together for an event featuring an architectural light show, a digital art performances, an international awardthemed exhibition, six industry workshops, and numerous speeches and dialogues. With over 500 inperson attendees and 120,000 online viewers, it unveiled the renovated Lester building with an inspiring vision of the future.

To be held during the World Design Cities Conference '23, this event will activate the vibrant design ecosystem that quickly formed following DIIS's move into the Lester Building and showcase the joint effort towards building a design-driven innovation engine.
